Online   

Online classes are delivered via Zoom. Zoom links are sent to enrolled email addresses on file within two days of class start date. At the discretion of faculty, a Zoom link may be sent sooner. Email your instructor and copy scc.act2@scc.spokane.edu if you have registered for an online clas and have not received a zoom link at least 2 days before class. Other students may be experiencing the same and we may be able to assist.

It is important to test equipment with the Zoom link to confirm class access before class begins. Technology is fickle at best.

Student residents located in Ferry, Stevens, and Pend Orielle County locations are invited to take any ACT 2 online course in person at their respective SCC locations. Contact your location for more information and to make arrangements.

Yoga for Life

Learn and practice the fundamentals of basic yoga poses in a sequence designed to improve and maintain health and vitality in all systems of your body. Focus is on strength, balance and flexibility with an awareness of proper posture and breath. Chair modifications are available. Please bring a yoga mat.

Barre with Bands and a Ball

Barre is a style of full body movement exercise consisting of combinations of ballet, pilates and yoga. It can be practiced at home with a simple sturdy chair, countertop, railing or bar on the wall. Barre can help improve posture, balance, flexibility, strength, core and coordination. Students will learn about allover body alignment, feet placement for weight-bearing positions, shoulder positions for strength, head to hip placements for better control and balance. Overall outcome for the barre course is for better energy flow with fluidity of movement and less stress on joints by lengthening and strengthening muscles.

Online: This class is offered in live, instructor-led, real-time sessions in a virtual classroom environment. Students must attend class online during the class dates and times listed above. Must have computer with audio and video to participate. 

Class Notes: You will need a simple sturdy chair or countertop or railing or bar on the wall. Other equipment used will be a Pilates ball (between 4 inches to 9 inches in size) and a loop resistance bands (12 inches flat).
