Architecture for Agile Solution Delivery   

This is the recommended first class of the Technical Solutions Delivery Certificate. Finding agile solutions and delivering technology projects can be difficult. It can be especially difficult for a non-IT professional to understand how different technological elements work together. This certificate provides an overview of programs and systems commonly used in projects so that you can communicate and collaborate effectively with your project team.

 

The term "architecture" can mean different things to different people depending on their professional backgrounds. This class provides you with an overview of information technology (IT) architecture. The class format includes lecture, hands-on exercises, and real-world examples.


Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this class, you should be able to:

  • Recognize patterns for software engineering.
  • Identify and understand Use Cases, Requirement and Features.
  • Recognize computer programs, websites and services in the architecture.
  • Outline programming and testing of architecture.
  • Define documentation and communication in architecture.

 

Intended Audience: This course is ideal for anyone, but especially communications professionals, who are engaged in project planning. This class is aimed at non-IT professionals to gain an understanding with the IT world.

Recommended Prerequisite: To be successful in this course, you should be familiar with using personal computers, the mouse and keyboard. You should be able to use Windows to launch and close programs; navigate to information stored on the computer; and manage files and folders.
