How to be a Rebel by Bus   NEW!

NEW & IMPROVED!

Learn how to navigate greater Puget Sound Transit systems for leisure travel. Hear about dozens of trips, such as Vashon Island, Lake Quinault Lodge, and Gig Harbor, as well as many Seattle-area adventures. This workshop is meant to inspire and encourage you to try using public transportation. Participants will practice using transit schedules and planning trips throughout the Puget Sound area.

At the end of the classroom experience, we will board a regularly scheduled Intercity Transit (IT) bus at the Lacey Transit Center and travel to the IT maintenance facility. Please bring a sack lunch. As we’re eating lunch we’ll hear about IT services. After eating we’ll have a tour of the facility, then take another bus route to return to the SPSCC Lacey Campus.

Once you realize how easily you can travel to so many places without spending a lot of money, it will open a whole new realm of fun.

Do you want help planning a public transit trip for a group?
Mary Williams, the original Rebel by Bus instructor, is available to help your group identify trip options, as well as create step-by-step directions for the trip. There are MANY fun and interesting destination options throughout the greater Puget Sound area, using many forms of transportation: bus, train, ferry, and more! Give us a call @360.709.2020 to arrange your group transit trip or send an email request to conted@spscc.edu.
