Fundamentals of Creative Writing

Are you interested in writing stories, but don’t know where to start? Published author and creative writing instructor Lindsay Schopfer offers an informative introduction to the world of writing. Students will learn everything they need to know to get started in their craft, including how to structure a story, how to show a scene instead of telling it, and how to avoid writer’s block.

Important note.  SPSCC is a fully vaccinated campus.  As a fully vaccinated campus, South Puget Sound Community College requires all students, staff and faculty planning to participate in or attend any in-person courses, operations, services or other activities at SPSCC locations to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and to verify their vaccination status with the college as per the Governor's Proclamation.  Once you have submitted your registration request, we will contact you to complete the verification process. You can also sign up for a verification appointment here.  Your registration will not be deemed complete until we have verified your vaccination status and payment has been processed.  Thank you for your cooperation.

This course is designed for ages 16 and over.
