Beginners Cross Country Ski Class   NEW!

Most people do their outdoor activities during autumn, spring or summer, but stay home in the winter. Cross Country skiing is an outstanding activity for your fitness and allows you to experience the beauty and tranquility of the snowy alpine forest. Learn to cross country ski and get out and enjoy the winter wonderland!!! This class gives you a chance to try something different and stretch your boundaries.

The first part of the class will be indoors on a weekday evening. You will learn what clothing you will need, the different types of equipment available and safety tips for enjoying this winter activity. The second part of the class will be onsite at White Pass where you will learn the movements and skills needed to cross country ski - and have fun!!

Participants will provide their own transportation to White Pass and will need to bring boots, skis and ski poles or rent equipment at White Pass. Warm clothes and a backpack will also be needed. NOTE: The day use fee at White Pass is $22 and is not included in the course price.

Is cross country skiing right for you? Cross country skiing is often recommended by fitness experts for people of all ages, especially those who are getting back into sport and exercise after a while away. You can determine the pace and ease of your cross country skiing experience to best match your personal endurance level.

Class schedule:
Part 1: Thursday, January 23, 6:00pm - 9:00pm at Lacey Campus
Part 2: Sunday, January 26, 10:00am - 3:00pm at White Pass
