Emotional Side of Estate Planning/Compassionate End of Life Conversations

This class will give an overview of end-of-life and palliative care health documents such as health care powers of attorney, advanced directives, DNR forms and MOST forms with a focus on HIPAA issues and how these documents impact end-of-life care. Learn which end-of-life considerations to discuss with your family after executing these documents and obtain a better understanding of the medical implications these documents have on a person’s health care.

Estate planning can be difficult and hard to talk about. This class is one in a three part series that will navigate the various estate planning and elder care planning subjects and break down the process. Experts in the field will lead discussions on topics such as the basics of estate planning, wills vs. trusts, the emotional side of estate planning, how to have difficult conversations for end of life care, and how to plan for long term or nursing home care. Classes can be taken individually or the whole series can be taken at a discounted price.

Other courses in this series are:
Estate Planning 101
Planning for Aging Parents or People with Special Needs
