Cooking with Herbs & Spices   NEW!

Herbs and spices are some of nature’s gifts that can add color, texture, and nutrients into our food. In this class, we will discuss incorporating herbs and spices into our everyday diet, those that can enhance the flavor and nutrients in your favorite dishes, as well as learning many new recipes. We will cover which herbs, spices, and edible flowers do well with meats, veggies, desserts, and cocktails, and how to create flavored oils, extracts, butters, vinegars and other condiments. Includes a handout, herb & spice cooking chart, recipes, and an eBook.

In this class you will learn how to process and utilize herbs and spices depending upon the form-fresh, dried and ground- as well as how to harvest and store them. The instructor will demonstrate many different techniques on how to eat your herbs everyday. We will discuss the 6 tastes and how they affect our brains and eating habits.
