How to Stop Wasting Food: Save Money & Food Resources   NEW!

Does food go to waste in your refrigerator? You're not alone!  30 - 40 % of food goes to waste in the US!  This class can help you save more of the food you buy, preserve it and eat it later.  You'll save money and reduce waste too!  Quickly and easily make some of your favorite gourmet treats.

In this three-session class, you will learn how to make healthy gourmet snacks and treats for pennies. Do you like kale chips? Beef Jerky? Fruit leather? It is really easy if you have a dehydrator or an air fryer oven. Want fast meals, quick lunches and snacks, “camping meals,” special gifts, instant soups and meals, and nutritious emergency foods. Learn to make your own herb and spice rubs, herbal teas, veggie mixes to flavor broths and soups and much more. Instructor will demonstrate and provide you with the recipes.

The first session will cover planning and freezing, the second session will focus on dehydrating and the third session will be about pickling, jamming and canning.

Most applicable to those with a dehydrator, air dryer, etc.
