Make Work More Human   NEW!

What must today’s leaders and team members do to create an environment where customers are satisfied, team members thrive, and organizations flourish? Together they must create A Human Workplace! Wise, successful workplaces of the future (and now) work in concert with human performance factors not against them, welcome diverse people to bring their true selves to work, and value essential human skills rather than denigrating them.

In this workshop you will spend a full, interactive day understanding the solid business case for a more humane and compassionate way of working. Based on the instructor’s cutting-edge qualitative research interviews and augmented by the insights of noted business and social science researchers, this workshop explores the impacts of fear on human and organizational performance and makes the case for increasing a culture of love in the workplace. Love? Yes love. At work? Yes at work.

With that foundation, understanding the role of accountability and the basics of love not fear in action. Learn how to lead and team using a new tool and practice that helps you to put love in action in the face of any challenge. Make a plan to address your specific, current needs and walk away with an inventory of strategies for common workplace situations. Cap the day with essential practices to care for yourself while you care for others especially when under stress. Come away inspired and equipped to build a more human experience in your organization that can lead to exceptional performance and meaningful work and life.

Objectives:
  • Understand the neurobiology of fear and safety.
  • Learn how to minimize toxic fear while optimizing psychological safety through loving actions.
  • Learn leader and team practices that support a more humane, productive way of working.
  • Explore your personal stories to deepen your understanding of what’s possible and why it is important.
  • Practice using a decision tool you can immediately deploy to decrease fear and increase love.
  • Practice essential human skills needed to transform culture.
  • Explore the role of trust, respect, kindness, compassion, inclusion, and appreciation at work.
  • Learn a new workplace model to guide you exemplified by real leaders and teams.
  • Create actionable plans to take back to your organization.
  • Understand the consequences when organizations are misaligned and human dignity is not prime.
  • Identify your cultural opportunities, roadblocks and strategies for overcoming them.
  • Understand the benefits of resilience and learn several practices for combating stress to improve self-care.
  • Come away with a plan for integration and inspired to make your workplace more human.
