Program Change Management    NEW!

This two-day course addresses the need for effective change management in progressive, successful programs in the public, private and nonprofit business sectors. The course provides an overview of how change occurs at the enterprise and program levels. Emphasis is placed on the need for adapting to evolving strategic goals and objectives, and the dynamic stakeholders demands at the program, subprogram and project levels. Emphasis is placed on effective, pragmatic change management practices for identifying change, analyzing associated risks, costs and opportunities, and implementing change at the program, subprogram and project levels. A deliberate, stepwise approach for implementing change within programs will be applied through discussion and practical case studies and exercises.

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Identify the origins of change at the program level
  • Appreciate and apply change management practices to update program and project mandates, roadmaps and benefits delivery plans
  • Understand the implications of changing enterprise level strategic goals and objectives and how they impact program, subprogram and project alignment and resource requirement
  • Recognize the impact of stakeholder management and changing stakeholder expectations on program plans, goals and objectives
  • Implement a deliberate, stepwise process of implementing change within programs and organizations
  • Understand the need for effective performance measurement within the change management process
