Program Performance Management    NEW!

This two-day course identifies the how to set realistic and challenging performance standards for programs operating in the public, private and nonprofit business sectors. The course provides an overview of enterprise level performance management, program managerial accounting and financial frameworks and strategic cost management. The course lays out the framework for strategy mapping, and balanced scorecard development for programs at all levels. The course relates risk and performance management, and discusses the relationship between business analytics, business intelligence. The course also presents an approach for identifying effective performance measures and implementing analytics-based performance management.

Performance Objectives: Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Understand the need for effective performance measurement in program management
  • Recognize the importance of financial frameworks and financial management for effective program assessment and direction setting
  • Link the program’s strategic goals and objectives with the selection of key performance indicators
  • Identify how to link program benefits delivery with stakeholder acceptance through the application of performance standards and measures
  • Understand how to apply analytics to achieve a balanced program/enterprise scorecard
  • Relate program risk to performance management
  • Anticipate and develop strategic and enterprise level strategies for risk management based on the principles of emotional intelligence
