This course will provide you with an overview of the role of the Script Supervisor in preproduction and during filming. By the time you complete this course, you will be able to better manage expectations on how a Script Supervisor can benefit any project. Suggested for: aspiring Script Supervisors, Editors, Directors, Assistant Directors, Screenwriters, or any crew position. You should have a general understanding of film terminology before this class. If you continue on, this course is a prerequisite to the Professional Script Supervising Series.
About the instructor:
Eve’s script supervising credits include The Good Guys, The Chosen, Salem, Dusk Till Dawn, Prison Break, Dallas (2012), Queen of the South, 1883, Bass Reeves, and Landman. She has worked with directors such as Jonathan Frakes, Richard Linklater, Tim Matheson, Greg Nicotero, Peter Weller, Timothy Busfield and Jennifer Lynch. In 2019, she directed the feature film Lily is Here, and the short film 2Ships.
Outside of her work on specfic projects, she also developed a digital script supervising program, has served on the board of Women in Film/Dallas, Texas Association of Film/Tape Professionals and Women In Communication, Inc./Dallas, and has given presentations on script supervising at KD College, UT Arlington and SXSW, and is a card carrying member of IATSE Local 484.
