Outlook 2013 Level 1  

Email is essential in today’s business place and learning how to manage this correspondence tool will save you time and increase efficiency. This course provides you with the skills you need to compose and send email, schedule appointments and meetings, manage contact information, schedule tasks, and create notes in Microsoft ™ Outlook 2013. Learn to maintain your calendar, use folders to organize messages, and create and edit tasks.

Upon successful completion of this course you should be able to:
  • Explain the Outlook interface.
  • Compose email messages.
  • Send mail and respond to messages.
  • Organize email messages into folders.
  • Manage contacts and contact information.
  • Schedule appointments.
  • Schedule a meeting.
  • Manage tasks and notes.
  • Customize the Outlook Interface.
Audience: All interested individuals who have taken a Windows course or equivalent experience. Participants should be familiar with using a mouse and keyboard; comfortable launching and closing programs; navigating to information stored on the computer; and managing files and folders.

This class is offered online using Zoom and Office 2013.

Zoom Requirements:

  • Access to a computer with speakers & microphone (or the ability to call in via phone).
  • A web camera (suggested but not required).
  • Access to high-speed internet.

  • Zoom link will be sent prior to the start of class. You must have Office 2013 installed on your computer to participate in the class.
