Introduction to Zentangle®

The Zentangle® Method is an easy-to-learn, fun and relaxing way to draw beautiful images by drawing structured patterns. Zentangle® art is non-representational and unplanned so you can focus on each stroke and not worry about the result. You don’t need to know what a tangle is going to look like to draw it. You just need to know the steps. Structured patterns are called ‘tangles’ and are drawn on small pieces of high quality paper called ‘tiles’. As you use the Zentangle® Method to create beautiful images, you likely will enjoy increased focus, find your creativity, build self-confidence in your own creativity, and may find an increased sense of well-being. It is also a great way to take time for yourself to relax and reduce stress. The Zentangle® Method only encourages your creativity as there are no mistakes in Zentangle®. People of all ages, skills, and interests around the world enjoy the Zentangle® Method. It provides a common ground to create without criticism and encourages a positive atmosphere in which to create.
