Is it possible to maintain a sense of inner peace in this divided and conflicted world? How can we stay connected to our best selves when we are pulled in so many different directions? How do we deal with the constant distractions of 24/7 news, other people’s demands on us, and our own inner conflicts and anxieties? How can we find time for deeper connection, and even (gasp!) fun – when our to-do lists are so long and our concerns so many?
In this highly interactive morning workshop/retreat, Spiritual Director and Life Coach Cheryl Lyon will lead a variety of fun and interactive exercises and offer ideas to help you “come home to yourself” and find - or return to – a greater sense of clarity, purpose and peace. You’ll learn – or remember – techniques to help you clear your mind, quiet your nervous system, and focus on what you really want, and you’ll leave with practical tools you can use to stay connected to your best self amid the blocks and challenges of your everyday life.
We’ll look at ways to:
• Offload stress and replenish when you start to feel depleted • Get more clear about your priorities so you can stop arguing with yourself • Express more of your true self as you go about your daily life • Tap into your own inner wisdom (yes, it’s there!) • Discern what is yours to do – and what is not
Come with an open mind, prepared to participate and share your experience. Note, however, that there will be no forced sharing. A note about meeting by Zoom: You may be concerned about the length of this Zoom gathering. Let’s face it, long Zoom meetings can be exhausting! But in this interactive workshop, we’ll keep it moving with short periods of presentation, discussion, activities and exercises, broken up with mini-breaks and periods of individual reflection.
This class will be online through Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation prior to class. You must have Zoom downloaded on your computer and have a web camera, audio (microphone) and internet to take this class.
