Calibrating Your Inner Compass: Wisdom from the 1500s    NEW!

What can a Spanish soldier turned monk from the 1500s possibly teach us about life in the 21st century? Turns out, plenty. Far from being irrelevant, the teachings of Ignatius of Loyola provide tools for living that still apply today to seekers from all traditions.

While the language Ignatius used may be somewhat out of date and his religious beliefs may or may not match yours, the concepts he set forth for discernment are timeless. Whether you think of discernment as a way to “tap into your inner wisdom,” “follow the will of God,” or “live your purpose,” the ideas and exercises Ignatius set forth can help you fine-tune your inner compass so that you can make better choices and live with a greater sense of clarity, purpose, and peace.

Join spiritual director and life coach Cheryl Lyon in exploring how wisdom from the 1500s might help you live with more joy and purpose day by day and give you greater confidence when making life-changing decisions. Several discernment tools and frameworks will be presented, and we will experiment with applying them to our own lives and situations. There will be opportunities to share experiences, but no forced sharing.

This class will be online through Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation prior to class. You must have Zoom downloaded on your computer and have a web camera, audio (microphone) and internet to take this class.
