Making Social Media Work for You    NEW!

Find your voice and explore how you can establish balance and boundaries as a creator navigating the world of social media. This course is ideal for anyone using social media tools to further their professional or personal goals, who may be struggling with burnout, are overwhelmed, or simply questioning how to best tailor their approach to online spaces. Plan on 2 to 6 hours of engagement in reading and activities per week. Students who complete assessments will be eligible for the Making Social Media Work badge. Students who successfully complete all three social media classes may apply for Prior Learning Assessment credit for BIT142 – Social Media for Professional Use.

Learning outcomes:

  • Achieve a big-picture look at a variety of social media tools, and learn how you can implement them into your workflow with more intention and clarity.
  • Explore the way demands have changed for entrepreneurial and creative careers across industries with the prevalence of social media.
  • Discover how your skills and boundaries can work within the new digital landscape, and set in place techniques to maintain your creative integrity and work-life balance.
