Entrepreneurial Assistance Program   

Take your ideas and successfully turn them into a simple, focused start-up plan for your small business. This program is designed to assist women, minorities, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and dislocated workers in Broome, Chenango, Delaware and Tioga counties. You will be guided through the process of harnessing the myriad of small business ideas and thoughts, and focus upon building and executing your simple, focused start-up plan.

Never miss a class! All weekday classes are online. A Zoom link will be emailed to you from Sr Staff Assistant, Darlene Kanuk @ kanukda@sunybroome.edu upon registration with SUNY Broome's Continuing Education Department  Saturday sessions offer a choice of in-person or online.  In-person Saturday sessions will meet in the SUNY Broome classroom at the Koffman Southern Tier Incubator, 120 Hawley Street – 3rd floor, 120 Hawley Street, Binghamton NY 13901.

 

AND.....If you attend 95% of the classes and turn in an instructor-approved business plan, you will receive 50% of your money back!

 

Below are the registration instructions to reserve your seat in the class. Don't delay...seats are limited to 24 for maximum one-on-one assistance for starting or growing your business. For Saturday sessions, anyone attending in-person at the SUNY Broome classroom will be required to mask in indoor settings and provide proof of your COVID vaccination. 

Participants will be required to attest to their vaccination status and provide proof of vaccination prior to the start of the course. This information will be uploaded into the SUNY vaccine portal. “Fully Vaccinated” means an individual has received both doses of a two- dose COVID-19 vaccine or one dose of a single-dose vaccine and at least 14 days have passed since the individual’s final dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

Upon registration, participants will be emailed a digital form to use to submit their vaccination proof. If you are unable to upload your documentation, please provide a copy directly to the Continuing Education office or email to workforce@sunybroome.edu

Participants are required to attest to their vaccination status at least 5 business days prior to the start of the course (or at the time of registration if less than 5 days prior to the course), and if they do not, they will be deregistered and refunded.

No refunds will be given less than 5 business days before the start of the course (per our current refund policy).

All participants are also required to wear a mask indoors at all times.

Call the Continuing Education department at 607-778-5012 to register. A required email confirmation of payment receipt from CE allows your entrance into all program ZOOM sessions. Informational documents and the zoom link will be emailed to students after registration.

 

Days and Times:  Mondays and Thursdays 6:00pm - 9:00pm (no class 11/25); and 3 Saturdays 9:00am - 12:00pm

Dates: October 4, 2021 through December 2, 2021   Saturday dates 10/16, 10/30 and 11/13

Cost: $149 (if a US Veteran with DD124 ID proof provided, $25)
