Now, more than ever, organizations are struggling with finances...and many times, grants can help! Instructor Debra Morello has written and/or overseen over $30 million in grants in her career for non-profits, education, health care, and the corporate sector. This course provides you with the specific knowledge to put together a proposal and start “building your grant.” Bring an idea/project with you to build on throughout this workshop. In addition to covering components of a grant including needs assessment, action plan, budget and executive summary, learn which types of projects get funded and why. A variety of online funding and grant writing  resources will also be discussed. Please bring your own lunch as we will be working through the lunch hour.

Currently employed security guards must complete the Eight Hour Annual In Service Training for Security Guards within 12 calendar months from the completion of the 16 Hour On-the-Job Training Course and annually thereafter. The course is structured to provide the student with updated and enhanced information on the duties and responsibilities of a security guard. Topics include the role of the security guard, legal powers and limitations, emergency situations, communications and public relations, access control and ethics and conduct. In order to receive a certificate of completion, each participant must attend the full eight-hour session. Names of those who successfully complete the course are recorded with the NYS Division of Criminal Justice Services for Municipal Police Security Guard Program.

If you are currently a NY Notary Public and always wanted to explore earning additional income with your current Notary Commission, this seminar is for you! This class will be online through Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation prior to class. You must have Zoom downloaded on your computer and have a webcam, audio (microphone) and internet to take this class.
