In March 2023, Mental Health Connection of Tarrant County and Recognize & Rise hosted Part 1 of the workshop Interrupting Pathways to Mass Violence  on ways to prevent mass violence in our community. The response was overwhelmingly positive from all of the 285 in attendance that included front line workers, executives, and administrators from mental health, criminal justice, law enforcement,city and county offices and other interested stakeholders.

As requested by the audience, experts and authors Jillian Peterson, PhD and James Densley, PhD will return for a discussion and a “deeper dive” on developing specific interventions to interrupt this epidemic in our community.
