TCU Pilates Teacher Training Program   

The TCU Pilates Teacher Training Program is by invitation only. The TCU Office of Extended Education, working together with the TCU School for Classical & Contemporary Dance, offers a 700-hour comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program, to BFA Ballet and Modern Dance majors. This course has three components, all of which can be completed by the time of graduation. Two intensive workshops (May following the sophomore and junior years) + self-directed summer assignments Four one-hour Advanced Pilates Practicum courses (one each semester in the junior and senior years; may be used as Dance Electives), and Specific course work completed by BFA dance candidates as part of their BFA degrees (Pilates I-IV; Working Body; Functional Anatomy) Dance majors who are accepted into the program and successfully complete it will earn the Certificate of Completion and be ready, on graduation, to enter the job market as a Pilates teacher. Who may apply: BFA dance candidates who are sophomores in the TCU School for Classical & Contemporary Dance and have completed or are set to complete the following by the end of the fourth semester – Pilates I-IV; Working Body; Functional Anatomy.

Payment Schedule Each Spring Semester:
Payment 1: ($600): January 31, 2024
Payment 2: ($500): February 28, 2024
Payment 3: ($500): March 31, 2024
