Summer Bridge Math Programs

Whether called the summer setback or summer slide, the learning loss students experience over the summer can have significant impact on their performance in the upcoming school year. Frequently contributing to a loss of 2+ months of skill, this happens during summer vacation when students don't use the skills learned at school. The Summer Bridge Program in Mathematics will help minimize students' loss of skills by giving them an instructor-led environment in which to review and practice skills learned or receive guided instruction on key topics covered in the grade they're entering.

Presented as a "Visit to the Teacher's Desk", these classes are designed to help your child review key skills from the previous grade or be prepared for the new school year! Each course is taught by a dedicated instructor who has experience working with elementary school students. The courses are interactive -- students will be able to ask and answer questions in real time.

Course Structure and Price
Each course consists of twelve (12) 50-minute sessions. The sessions are delivered in live-online format with a live instructor presenting each class session. Sessions are divided into either a 6-week or 3-week schedule.

Sample 6-Week Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays 10:00am- 10:50am Sample 3-Week Schedule: Mondays- Thursdays 10:00am -10:50am

In addition to the scheduled class sessions, students will have access to recorded versions of each class session which can be used to preview topics, replace sessions which the student is unable to attend, or review content from a different perspective.

Who Should Attend?
The Summer Bridge Program in Mathematics is open to any student seeking an engaging environment in which to explore fun, relevant math topics. Topics covered are listed within the description of each program to assist parents and students as they decide which program is best for them. As an example, Grade 3 will be particularly helpful for students who recently completed 3rd grade and want to minimize summer losses, or for those who are preparing for 3rd grade and want an introduction to the topics they'll see in the coming year.

**Class sessions will be taught on a reading level matching the course title (e.g. Grade 3 instruction will be taught at a 3rd grade reading level).
