Branding Business
Learn the principles and strategies behind creating and managing a strong brand for a business.
Competencies:
- Produce a logo based on a Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Construct a Mood Board and Branding Guide
- Prepare a business card, letterhead, envelope, folder, newsletter, brochure, vehicle wrap, and mockups
- Estimate projects cost including printing needs
- Demonstrated sales pitch focused presentation skills
In this class, students will learn the principles and strategies behind creating and managing a strong brand for a business. Through a combination of lectures, group discussions, and hands-on projects, students will develop a deeper understanding of the importance of branding in the business world and how to create a successful brand strategy. Topics covered will include target audience identification, visual identity creation, brand awareness building, and metrics for measuring the effectiveness of branding efforts. A Real-world example of a Request for Proposal will be used to provide students with a practical understanding of the branding process. By the end of the class, students will have designed and developed a usable project for their industry portfolio. Refinement will occur throughout the course and work on a computer outside of class is vital.
Prerequisites:
- Successful completion of Design Foundation, Visual Designer, and Design Portfolio series, or with program permission.
- Completion of Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop is essential, or with program permission.
Instructors will assume your readiness for the class and will not cover prerequisite knowledge in class.
