Digital Photography 1
Get the photos you want by learning features and controls of your digital camera.
Competencies:

Operate and handle a digital camera

Demonstrate the use of variables to exposure, such as ISO, shutter speed and aperture

Control focus point and motor drive settings

Pratice storytelling through composition

Change exposure compensation controls on camera

Anticipate and identify problems with color casts, complex lighting and other color pitfalls
Students must have a digital camera and instruction manual with them for class.
This course is divided into two units: digital camera operation and photographic fundamentals. Weekly assignments integrated with class discussions give a solid foundation in digital photography. Topics include: exposure modes, aperture, shutter speed, flash, histograms and exposure compensation, white balance and other in-camera overrides. This course is part of Level 1 of the Digital Photography Certificate.
