Rigorous professional certificate for translation and interpreting

This certificate program teaches the fundamentals of the translation & interpreting fields. It is composed of four embedded courses: Interpreting Fundamentals, Translation Fundamentals, Terminology & Technology, and Professional Practice. By the end of the program students will be able to apply professional conventions and behavior norms, code of ethics, industry technology, and terminology. Students will also learn how to effectively manage and market a private practice. Completion of the Core Translation & Interpreting Certificate will prepare students to take the Advanced Translation or Advanced Interpreting Certificates in a specific language.
 

Required Prerequisites:

  • Intermediate proficiency in English (native, TOEIC 130+, TOEFL 80+)
  • Intermediate language level in second language
