Alaskan Hat Workshop

*Students will need to bring their own sewing machines.

*Students may purchase additional hat patterns on the Alaskan Patterns website  (https://www.alaskanpatterns.com).

Learn how to sew a fur or cloth Trapper's Hat or Sourdough Hat. Skin sewing will be included in this course. A list of materials will be shared at the first meeting of the course. Enrollment limited to 20.

Instructor Michelle Amstrup is the third generation owner of Alaskan Patterns and purchased the business in 2015 from her mother and co-instructor, Myrna Colp. She has a passion for sewing, designing, pattern drafting, and teaching others how to sew using vintage Alaskan style patterns that her grandparents Lois and Gene Tapp designed in the 1960's-1970's.
