Have you ever returned from a trip disappointed in the overall look and feel of the photos you took at your destination or along the way coming and going? Do they not quite measure up to capturing the appeal which inspired you to take the photo in the first place? This course will offer tips and techniques learned from experience on many trips, whether out the road or across the globe. Topics will include what gear to bring, what settings to use, how to scout locations and best time of day to shoot, how to keep your photos organized and accessible, and post-processing tips to help bring your photos to their full potential. Note: Although most cell phones are equipped with nice cameras, this class is directed for those using fully functional digital cameras with interchangeable lenses capable of full manual controls. Enrollment limited to 20.
Instructor Todd Paris, formally chief photographer for UAF Marketing, long-time freelance photographer in Fairbanks specializing in events, portraits, and arts & athletic performance. Special interests include birds, dance and travel photography.
