You are what makes UAF-OLLI possible!
UAF-OLLI is a non-profit organization under Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, which means we do not directly receive funding from the University of Alaska or the State of Alaska. Without our donors, volunteers, and members of the community, we would not be able to offer affordable social events and courses to encourage lifelong learning in the Fairbanks area and surrounding communities.
We thank the University of Alaska Fairbanks for their continued support; they provide staff support, HR and financial service, classroom and office space at the University Park Building, and permanent equipment for program use.
We thank Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning at UAF for their continued support; they provide travel, promotionals, publications, and collaboration opportunities with UAF alumni, faculty, staff, and students.
And last but not least, we thank our membership; this program continues to grow with them!
Our Funds
We have three funds that support our program:
Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Annual Fund
Our Annual Fund supports the creation and continuation of main programming, course offerings, printing, mailing, and provides office supplies and instructor supplies for the current year. This fund also supports the salary of two paid staff: the Program Director and the Administrative Assistant.
|
OLLI Joe Dart Endowment Fund
The friends of longtime volunteer and valued instructor Joe Dart dedicated a small fund for UAF-OLLI to use for the purpose of supporting the program and purchasing any equipment we may need for classroom and office use.
|
Osher Lifelong Learning Endowment
This endowment was established by the Bernard Osher Foundation when UAF-OLLI became an official Osher Lifelong Learning Institute in Alaska. This ensures the longevity of the program with the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

How can I support UAF-OLLI?
Donations or planned gifts to our program are processed through the University of Alaska Foundation. They are a private nonprofit corporation (Federal Tax ID 23-7394620), operated as a public Foundation, and are a tax-exempt organization as described in subsection 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The UA Foundation qualifies as a public charitable organization under Subsection 170(b)(1)(A)(vi) of the Internal Revenue Code. Your gift will be receipted by the University of Alaska Foundation and is tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Sponsor an Instructor
One of the ways we thank our volunteer instructors is to give them a complimentary OLLI membership and parking pass. You can help us support them by purchasing a sponsorship here.
