Racing against time, French officers asked famed musher Scotty Allan to select 106 local dogs for war service. Their top-secret mission took them by ship to Seattle, by train across Canada (where they collected another 330 dogs), then they sailed through the sub-infested Atlantic to LeHavre. Learn how the dog soldiers performed with merit, earning three Alaskan dogs France's "Croix de Guerre," the Cross of War. Enrollment limited to 40.
