Green Star of Interior Alaska will provide an overview of the landscape of recycling in the Interior, revealing “behind the scenes” at the Fairbanks North Star Borough Central Recycling Facility and the Green Star of Interior Alaska electronics recycling warehouse. We will also discuss future visions of recycling in the FNSB and answer questions Fairbanksans have about recycling. Facility fee $30; pay instructor at first meeting.

This course will review the 3 major balance systems of the body, explain how these system integrate to create stability and inform balance responses, provide screenings for participants, and explain general exercises and interventions to improve mobility related balance and stability. Instructor Nick Rasmussen is a physical therapist at Fairbanks Health Partners Rehabilitation Services Clinic and has been practicing in the orthopedic, neurologic and vestibular disciplines for over 14 years. He is an avid runner, climber, and LEGO collector.
