Classic Novels: American Realism LIT-01 (in-person) Session I: Sept. 16, 23, 30, Oct. 7 Wednesdays 10:30 - 11:45 am Read and discuss four classic novels from the American Realism movement. Class texts include Stephen Crane’s The Red Badge of Courage (1895), Sarah Orne Jewett’s The Country of Pointed Firs (1896), Kate Chopin’s The Awakening (1899), and Charles Chesnutt’s The Marrow of Tradition (1901). Enrollment limited to 15.
