Great Artists of Europe 1880-1940
In this class we will consider several important art movements, such as Post-Impressionism, Symbolism, Fauvism, Cubism, German Expressionism, Constructivism, Neo-Plasticism, Dada, and Surrealism. This is a class for enrichment and there are no tests and no academic credit.

Drawing for the Young Child
This is a classical drawing class designed for the young child. It is for children who have had little or no formal training. The emphasis is on drawing from reality, learning basic techniques, becoming acquainted with the elements of art, and experimentation with a variety of art media. Because children tend to draw in a cartoon-like manner, this class will encourage children to draw correct shapes, proportions, and textures from real objects. Friendly, fun competitions and rewards will be used for inspiration!

This is a drawing class designed for the child who has had some formal training and achieved a basic level of accomplishment or higher. It is a class in classical drawing technique that includes the close observation and rendering of objects from nature and the manmade world. Students in this class really sharpen their skills. Modeled on college art classes, students will be pressed to work diligently. A wide variety of interesting and challenging still life objects will be used, including architecture, nature, and the human form.

It is a class in classical drawing that includes the close observation and rendering of objects from nature and the manmade world. Modeled on college art classes, students will study the elements of art, principles of design, and a variety of traditional drawing techniques. A collection of interesting and challenging still life objects will be used, including architecture, nature, and the human form. Each student can expect individual attention geared toward the student's background and skill level. A variety of art materials will be enjoyed.

Beginning Digital Photography
In this highly interactive and fun course, you will learn the basics and beyond. You will learn about those dials and buttons on your camera; those mysterious menu items; f/stops, shutter speeds, light exposure and how they all work together; ISO and White Balance; different types of lenses; and composition. You will also learn about the #1 solution to the #1 problem in photography; and much more!! All you need to bring is your own camera (SLR, DSLR, point and shoot, etc.) and your camera manual. We can work with any type of camera, except the one on your phone.
