Understanding Islam II

Second half of a two-part course. We will continue to track the development of Islam into modern day. You will learn about the structure and function of the Qu’ran, and be able to compare and contrast the tenets of Islam to the culture and traditions of Muslim-majority countries. We will thoroughly investigate serious topics like the concepts of sin and forgiveness, heaven and hell, etc. You will emerge with an understanding of day-to-day Muslim customs, rituals, and lifestyle habits.
