This course will offer an examination of the issues and problems currently impacting our nation and world. Emphasis will be placed on approaching the examination of these issues and problems by examining their historical development up to their current impact. Group discussion is encouraged.

We will read and discuss the ancient Greek playwright Euripides’ radiant tragicomedy Alcestis in which a wife willingly dies in her husband’s place. In this piece, he learns something about what it means to be human, and the hero, Heracles, wrestles Death to reunite the couple. Please Note: This course has required supplies.

Explore the principles of Sacred Geometry, including the symbolism of geometric shapes and patterns found in nature, architecture, and art. We'll learn to draw and construct sacred geometric designs and about their spiritual significance in cultural traditions. No math needed!

This course will teach you about basic perspective, the relationships of objects to each other, how to energize a drawing by use of light and dark dynamics, how to explore different drawing instruments to achieve various effects, how to best express volume, and how to work with outlines alone. Please Note: This course has required supplies.

This course explores many different art mediums to create mandalas, but you are not restricted to creating your art in a circular format. This art comes from your heart — no former artistic experience is required. Experiment, discover, relax, and have fun!
