Required text: In the Palm of Your Hand, the Poet's Portable Workshop, by Steve Kowit, Library of Congress Control #: 2017930926. Calling all poets! What makes a poem good (or awful) and how do you make your own poems better? Over six weeks, we study and respond to chapters 5 and 6 from Steve Kowit's book: "Awful Poems" and "The Art of Revision." We'll study craft, improve our own writing and help our fellow poets improve. Note: sections extend one week.
