UD by the Sea 2025 Track 8 - The People Who Worked in Lewes
Travel back in history to learn about various occupations that were part of Lewes’ bustling community during the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. This track includes, but is not limited to visits to the Lewes Historical Society, the East End lighthouse, and the Overfall Lightship. Activity level is robust, with bus rides each day along with walking outdoors and a ride on the Cape Water Taxi. (An additional $25 is incorporated into the fee for this track to offset the cost of transportation.) Participants in this track will visit historically significant locations in Lewes, travel down the Lewes - Rehoboth canal and hear from knowledgeable historians and re-enactors.
