Course Description:
Let's get together and enjoy early summer walks early in the morning. For week one, on Tuesday, we will meet at the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk at the Bandstand. We'll walk the boardwalk at our own pace and be sure to retrieve our cars before 10 am. On Thursday, we will meet at James Farm Ecology Center. Course Description:
Join a local naturalist on a van tour of Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge. Learn about refuge history, management actions, and wildlife while on the tour and look for summer birds migrating through the area on the Atlantic Flyway. Back at the new visitor center, hear an engaging presentation about the Monarch butterfly - its amazing migration, tagging and other conservation activities helping to preserve their numbers. Feel free to bring your own binoculars or borrow a pair from the Refuge.

Course Description:
While we marvel at the beauty of flowers, what do we know about them? In this program we will investigate the who, where, what and how of these phenomena of Mother Nature. The stories of plant hunters and their sponsors will be recounted. The reason for the structure of the flower (usually enticement of pollinators) will be theorized, as well as other subjects. This program will be presented as a Powerpoint, and comments and discussion are encouraged.

This class is an introduction to mindfulness … what it is, what it is not. There is a brief description of mindfulness-based-stress reduction (MBSR) meditation practices, and we will practice at least one short meditation during class. Class time is divided equally between presentation of ideas, group discussion, and meditation practice. Prior meditation experience is not necessary. No text is required.

Course Description:
Join us at St. Jones Reserve in Dover for a two-part lecture on Delaware's amazing coastline. The first lecture will discuss the horseshoe crab and its remarkable appearance on our shores in late May and June; its history, lifecycle and whereabouts will be covered. The second lecture will discuss climate change and the impact it has had on our area coastal shoreline. Lectures are held indoors at the St. Jones Reserve visitor center at 818 Kitts Hummock Rd in Dover, DE.
