ENST 491 Environmental Service Learning  

Teacher participants enrolled in this course will learn about service learning through: 1) Monitoring a population of critically endangered leatherback sea turtles on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica in collaboration with biologists and Costa Rican communities through EPI; 2) Participation in a two-day Earth Force Service Learning workshop; 3) Complete a service learning action plan to implement in their own classroom.

Course is available for undergraduate or graduate credit.

Registration for this course is required through the sponsoring agency indicated below. The sponsoring agency charges a course registration fee.

Students wanting to earn academic credit from The University of Montana must pay an additional $155 credit recording fee. This is a flat fee and not a per credit fee. Information about registering for academic credit will be provided by the sponsoring agency.
