Most people spend more time on work than on any other single thing they do. It can be a source of satisfaction, stress, support, meaning or struggle. You want your work to be meaningful, but sometimes you may feel overwhelmed by the pressure of balancing your personal life with your work life. This course is specifically designed to improve your psychological health as well as your effectiveness at work and in your personal life through a combination of mindfulness and values-guided behavioral skills.
Coursework and homework assignments for The Balancing Act promote self-awareness, help you find purpose, direction and meaning, offer new ways to improve your effectiveness in life and work and help you identify and pursue your own valued goals and actions.
By the end of the course, you will have a much stronger resume and cover letter tailored to the job that you hope to land. Also, you'll gain an understanding of how to leverage the power of LinkedIn and other social media to help find and secure your preferred position.
Course meets in Missoula. Course is non-credit only.
