TESOL Certificate Program

The TESOL Certificate Program will provide teacher candidates with a solid background of the practices and theories of teaching a foreign language and with an understanding of how the principles of modern linguistics can be applied to language instruction.

The 12-14 week (6-8 weeks for summer), fully online, non-credit program will consist of a minimum of 120 hours of instruction and practicum experience to prepare teacher candidates to teach English as a second/foreign language in a variety of instructional settings. These hours will include at least 100 instructional hours which focus on the topics of language and culture, methodology, instruction and assessment, and professionalism. The 20-hour practicum component will provide candidates with practical experience through observation and instruction.

Please notep this Program is not Title IV eligible and does not lead to TESOL State/Territory Licensure.
