This two-credit course, Overcoming Underachievement in Students, Focus on Gifted and Talented, is for individuals who would like to gain a better understanding about academic underachievement in the gifted student population. Participants will learn about identifying underachievement, its causes, and explore ways to reverse it. The course will look more closely at underachieving student profiles and how students, parents, and teachers can work together to overcome underachievement.
Course meets online. Course is available for Traditional or Credit/No Credit grading. Course is available for graduate credit only. Credit earned in this course may not be used toward a graduate degree at the University of Montana. It is the student’s responsibility to verify the transferability of courses to their degree-granting institution and intended major.

Students wanting to earn academic credit from the University of Montana must pay an additional $155 credit recording fee. This is a flat fee and not a per credit fee. Information about registering for academic credit will be provided by the sponsoring agency.
