ENST 491 River Writing Workshop: The Good Life   

In this field course, students will have the opportunity to develop and hone writing skills in a wilderness classroom. Celebrated poet, author, and teacher Chris La Tray will co-lead this six-day workshop that combines rafting the Main Salmon River with creative, generative thought, community-building, and deep immersion into the Frank Church Wilderness.

Course meets on the Salmon River, in Idaho. Course is available for undergraduate or graduate credit. Course is available for Credit/No Credit grading only. It is the student’s responsibility to verify the transferability of courses to their degree-granting institution and intended major.

Registration and payment for this course is required through the Freeflow Institute.

After registering and paying for the course, students wanting to earn academic credit from the University of Montana must pay an additional $155 credit recording fee.
