This course is geared toward educators, administrators, teaching artists and education graduate students. The Ignite! Arts Integration Conference presents the nation’s best practices in arts integration featuring renowned Kennedy Center and Focus 5 presenters. Participants experience foundations in arts integration and strategies for teaching, makerspaces, collaborative project experiences, and integrated connections to literacy, math, social studies, science, cultural applications (including IEFA), and assessment. Course participants enroll in the full, two-day arts integration conference and attend all sessions.
Course meeting dates/times/location:
Thursday, June 19 (8:00am-11:30 and 12:45-6:00pm) and Friday, June 20 (8:00am-12:15 and 1:30-4:00pm)
Conference is held in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education Bldg, University of Montana, Missoula, MT
This course can be taken for 1 Graduate credit. Students will select grading method during checkout. (Traditional Letter Grade or Credit/No Credit Grade.) It is the student’s responsibility to verify the transferability of courses to their degree-granting institution and intended major.
Registration for the conference is required through Spark! Arts Learning before enrolling in credit.
