Beginning near Phantom Ranch in the Grand Canyon, we will embark upon a singular adventure with Dr. Len Necefer (founder of Natives Outdoors) and Brendan Leonard (creator of Semi-Rad). Together, we will explore both external and internal landscapes, using our own experiences in wild places to craft essays that communicate the human experience and advocate for sustainable preservation. Through the lens of adventure storytelling, we will dive deep into the human history, policy, science, psychology, and human geography of the Colorado River Basin, learning how to creatively integrate these elements into writing that resonates with empathy and insight.
