This interactive 3-hour workshop provides an introduction to the essential components of play therapy. Participants will gain a foundational understanding of how play therapy is used to help children process emotions, develop coping skills, and express themselves. The session will explore key elements such as the therapeutic relationship, the role of toys and materials, a child-centered therapy approach, and ethical considerations. Through hands-on activities and real-life examples, attendees will gain practical insights into integrating play therapy techniques into their own practice or work with children.
This is a face-to-face workshop. The event will take place in room 241, in the Phyllis J. Washington College of Education, from 5pm to 8pm.
