BIOB 191 Apprentice-Level Beekeeping (Credit)  

Participants will learn the basics of keeping honey bees, including bee biology and care of bees throughout the year. Participants will be taught how to recognize common honey bee ailments and pests as well as the treatment for them. By the end of this course, participants will be able to manage honey bee colonies for maximum bee health and honey production.

Course meets fully online. There are no face-to-face components. Course is available for undergraduate credit only. Students must be a minimum of age 16 in order to register for the credit section. Course is available for 2.0 CEUs.
