LEED Green Associate Exam Preparation

LEED, or Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, is changing the way we think about how buildings and communities are planned, constructed, maintained and operated.

The following course covers the fundamental concepts of green building and is intended for design, construction and real estate professionals, building owners, or anyone who wants to develop their knowledge in this area. The course will prepare students to earn the LEED Green Associate credential from the Green Building Certification Institute. Students examine case studies of LEED certified building projects, concepts of integrated design, third-party verification and the LEED administration process.

LEED works for all buildings—from homes to corporate headquarters—at all phases of development. Projects pursuing LEED certification earn points across several areas that address sustainability issues. LEED-certified buildings are resource efficient. They use less water and energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. As an added bonus, they save money.
