Using a workshop approach, this class will allow you and your fellow writers to share experiences and sharpen your writing skills so you can bring your memories to life.

You can help bridge the communication and cultural gap between hearing and Deaf Americans. Learn beginning signs, basic grammar, and common phrases of American Sign Language. You will study the manual alphabet, fingerspelling, numbers, greetings and introductions, and more. Gain a new perspective of the Deaf community through a focus on Deaf culture. You will begin to develop a working knowledge that can be used in many situations.
Your instructor is deaf and reads lips, but class will mostly be conducted by immersion.

Explore the voiceover industry with your instructor, a professional, working voice actor from Voices For All, in a one-on-one, personalized, video chat setting.
In this one time, 90-minute, introductory class, you’ll also learn about the different types of voiceovers and the tools you’ll need to find success. Your instructor will record you as you read a real script, taking notes on your performance to create a professional voiceover evaluation delivered to you in a follow up call. You owe it to yourself to finally explore the possibilities of this fun and rewarding field!

Bring your sewing machine and learn from the expert from The Sewing Palace – how to clean, maintain, and USE your machine, no matter the make or model. If you haven't yet purchased a machine, there are a limited number available to borrow.
You’ll create a simple zippered pouch, a decorative pillow, a shopping tote (and more if time permits!) All the materials, thread, and fabric for the projects will be included in one kit from the
instructor at the first class. Plan to arrive early for setup.

If you have little or no previous knowledge of the German language, this class will prepare you for basic communication. You will learn some fundamentals through listening, speaking, reading and writing. We will study basic greetings and phrases common to shopping, dining, accommodations and transportation. Start to prepare for that future trip!
