Improving Program Assessment using Lean Tools  

By taking this course you will learn the basic concepts of program assessment and how to apply Lean methodology through Rapid Improvement to engage faculty in the continuous improvement of learning outcome assessment. You will be guided through the study of applicable case scenarios in order to gain an understanding of how Rapid Improvement has been used to increase a positive assessment cultures throughout programs of study. You will also be guided through each step of the Rapid Improvement Process and will learn how to facilitate an event for your constituents. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to use virtual platforms in order to run an event and complete a successful consultation while being socially distanced. This course is designed for deans, chairs, directors, and coordinators involved in institutional effectiveness or program assessment. Taught in 6 asynchronous weekly modules where the learner submits their assignments on Sunday. The estimated time per module is 2 hours. At successful completion the learner is awarded CEUs and a badge.
