Are you interested in participating in the pilot of Code Alabama? Code Alabama is an 8 week/90-hour basic coding training program. Funding is available for 12 qualified individuals
CodeAlabama is a 90 -hour (8-week) workforce training initiative offered through the University of North Alabama’s Center for Learning and Professional Development. Students who complete this program will possess a fundamental understanding of programming concepts, get exposure and hands-on experience with two popular programming languages, and begin to acquire skills necessary to become contributing members of a software development team.

- You will be asked to submit a 3-4-minute video (may be shot with your phone) that includes:
- Your technical background
- Why you are interested in Code Alabama
- Your goals upon completion of Code Alabama
- Your educational background
- How completion of Code Alabama will impact your life
Program details:
- Dates: June 5, 2023 – July 27, 2023, the classes will meet on Monday through Thursday from 5:30 pm -8:30pm
- Place: University of North Alabama, 541 W. College Street, Florence, AL 35630
- The certificate will consist of: two 4-week modules, one being Python, the other being C++, with certification testing occurring at the end of each 4-week module.
Courses will be led and taught by faculty from the Computer Science and Information Systems Department of the University of North Alabama.
